Golf Courses Vermont

Whenever I hear Golf Course I see green in front of my eyes. Another word that comes to my mind is holes. A Golf course is a lot more than green and holes though. Golf is a club and ball sport using many types of clubs. The player hits the ball using the appropriate club into each hole on a Golf course. Golf courses consist of many holes at set distance based on the course played for starting with Teeing ground or tee. There is usually more than one available box for a player to play from. After teeing off the player again hits the ball from where it came to rest. The area between the tee box and area where the ball came to rest is called fairway. The next course is Hazards which includes many holes and various obstacles like water hazard, man-made hazards such as bunkers, and natural hazard like trees and bushes. Another term common to golfers is Putting Green. A shot played where the golf ball does not leave the ground. The grass of the putting green is cut very shot so that the ball rolls long distance. They are a very tedious job to maintain.

Okemo Mountain Resort and Golf Club in Ludlow, Vermont features 6,500 yards of golf course and the longest tee for a par of 70.
